beautiful coba! i love the history of the yucatan and learning about all the mayan ruins. but goodness, they've got some steep temples. can you imagine being the king and being carried up there? talk about a workout for the carriers!
later we went to another cenote, dos ojos! wow. this cenote was a lot different than samula. samula was like a lake, this was like a river system. it's hard to show through pictures how beautiful it was, but i have some amazing video clips i'll have to post later. it was unreal.
on a side note, while we were driving around, renee and i were in the backseat and she dropped a magazine on my foot, so we both looked down to grab it… and right at that moment, a jaguar darted across the road in front of our car. (can you believe the timing?!) kenneth and dan were freaking out. renee and i were pissed we missed it haha. they didn't mind rubbing it in our faces the rest of the trip that they saw a jaguar in the wild and we didn't…. seriously what are the chances?!
can we go back now?
