>gems of gold.

i've got some pretty awesome best friends. not meaning to brag, but they're pretty great. we act like complete freaks together and i love it. i'm so blessed to have such amazing friends that i can trust and rely on. i know they will always be there for me. the best friends are the ones that tell you when you're being stupid but still love you. i don't think i would ever be able to handle not having them in my life. they are truly so special. it's tough not getting to see each other as often as we like since we're all at different colleges. but when we reunite, its like nothing ever changed. i love you girls.
happy birthday britty-boo.

>home of the brave.

in other words, the atlanta braves. my go to team.
baseball is my favorite sport. and i love watching the braves more than anything. it isn't a true georgia summer without a braves game. and it seems we truly lucked out and made history by attending the hottest braves game ever. 106 degrees. plus humidity. oh the south. however, the heat didn't stop us from beating the nationals that evening. oh my, this georgia summer really is too good.

>the varsity.

the restaurant of atlanta is the varsity.
it's been there forever and it features a 50s style diner.
the food, delicious. yet at the same time disgusting.
you kind of go into your dining experience well knowing
that you are about to ingest an absurd amount of grease.
but it's just so good.
the onion rings and orange freezes are a must if you ever go.
i mean just look at how much hayden loves it.
priceless.

>happy 4th.

4th of july is easily one of my favorite holidays. probably my number one because lets be honest, christmas basically trumps everything. i'm not exactly sure when or how i fell in love with the 4th, but it is oh so grand. fireworks. grilling out. corn on the cob. watermelon. red white & blue. the unity of america. it's all so wonderful.

this year we went to marietta square for the 4th spectacular. although the rustic vibe of quaint brick buildings seems normal to me, while kenneth was here he quickly reminded me that not every state has this special look. i love it. georgia summers are my favorite.

hope everyone had a happy 4th and celebrated it with the ones you love.

>the happiness factory.

so where have i been lately??
well this boy came to visit me in my home state of georgia and so i obviously had to play tour guide for the week. where did we start the week's festivities off at? where else but the happiness factory. aka, the world of coke!

kenneth was definitely a fan and successfully tried all 64 flavors of coke! he may or may not have looked like a little kid at a candy store. and of course he tried the best flavor from italy, beverly. it really is just too good. if you're ever in georgia and you stop by the coke factory, be sure to try it.

we spent some time wandering outside at centennial olympic park and baking in this georgia heat. we also found a magic coke machine! people would put their money in to buy a coke and then it would make music and out would come hats, footballs, towels, 2 liters of coke, etc. magic. oh happy day.
