June Recap

I feel like June flew by!
One of my jobs had a team get together at Top Golf. It was fun for Kenneth to meet my coworkers and all hang out. It's tough to not have fun at free Top Golf! haha
Once Kenneth passed his boards, he had to put in paperwork to get his GA License. It took several weeks, which was really frustrating.
He was asked to volunteer at boy scout camp for a week and so he went. It was weird because I don't remember the last time we were apart for so long. They went up to the Blue Ridge Mountains and he didn't have cell service so we didn't talk much. But it sounded like a fun time. They went white water rafting, which I'm really jealous about! The photo below is a picture he sent me from the camp, it looked so beautiful!
One of our cars died so that wasn't very fun. Our other car is also having a ton of issues. So we're starting to look a buying a car. Being an adult is annoying sometimes haha. Kenneth got his license the day before he went to scout camp, which was both a blessing (because we thought he wouldn't get it for several more weeks) but also frustrating (because he couldn't apply for jobs). He got back and we had a few days before we left for our big trip to Utah, Yellowstone & the Grand Tetons.
We celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary, the day before we left! Unfortunately we didn't do much to celebrate because I had work and we had a ton of errands to do, plus packing for our trip. But we got Chick-fil-a and reminisced by looking at our wedding pictures. Happy 4 years to us!! Love you babe!! <3

I'll share our trip out west in another post!

May Recap

May was a good month! The highlight was that Kenneth passed his OT Boards!!!! When we found out, I cried! I was so beyond happy and relieved!! We found out in the morning so we celebrated by heading downtown and trying a new breakfast place.
We went to Callie's Hot Little Biscuits and it was yummy!
Kenneth's was better than mine, but both were still good! They had an outdoor seating area, which we always love because we could bring Harley.
We walked around Piedmont Park and took Harley to the dog park there. I loved seeing all the flowers in bloom around the park.
One weekend we took Harley to the river at this place that is basically a dog beach. Everyone brings their dog and it's so fun! The tide was extra high this time because normally there's a better sand area for you to bring chairs and sit in. We went with David & Jaime and all the dogs had a fun time swimming around.
We celebrated Mother's Day with my wonderful mom. Kenneth and I made dinner and it was delicious!
I helped my mom out with a wedding. It was this super sweet couple in their 80s getting remarried. It was fun to be around so many flowers! My favorite!
I made Kenneth snap some pictures of me with the flowers. It's a huge dream of mine to have a big flower farm one day! I would love nothing more.
Ranunculus & Anemones are some of my favorite flowers! I was in heaven.
We really wanted to go to Bark in the Park, but they sold out really fast and we couldn't get tickets. But last minute, David & Jaimie found someone that was selling them and we were able to get them!
It was so fun! King of Pops was there selling puppy ice cream. They had an entire section for just the dogs. They also had an area with kiddie pools so the dogs could go cool off. I was really impressed with how great the event was. They had water bowls everywhere filled with ice & water.
It was ridiculously hot, but Harley had such a fun time!
^ Ladies - my best friend Matt is single!
At one point, the announcer played a doorbell sound and all the dogs went crazy barking and it was hilarious!
The Braves were losing and so we left after the 7th inning because it was really hot. But then they made an amazing comeback and won! We were all a little sad we missed the comeback, but yay for a Braves win!
We found a new park that we love and there's lots of great running trails. We went there a lot with Harley and we both got a good workout in.
Kenneth & I had a little date night to celebrate him passing his boards. We went to Avalon and had dinner at The El Felix (which is the same thing as Superica). Then we went to Screamn' Nuts. I was wanting to go here for weeks, so it was much anticipated! I got their ice cream in a donut cone. The donut cone wasn't great, but the ice cream was amazing. I've had their donuts before and they're some of my favorite in Georgia!
At the end of the month we went to Red Top Mountain with David & Jaime. There's an easy 4 mile hike that we took the dogs on. They loved hiking around the lake and jumping in to swim!
We've had a lot of rain recently and it was sprinkling on us the entire time. But it was still really pretty and fun!
Harley was one happy pup! I love having best friends that love dogs as much as us. We are those crazy dog people that dedicate their weekends to their dogs. I love it.
May was such a good month!
